Subban leads Bruins to victory over IceCaps

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Malcolm Subban made 26 saves and Providence scored three unanswered goals in the third period as the Bruins went on to defeat the host St. John's IceCaps 4-1 on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.
Ben Youds opened the scoring for the Bruins (12-11-2) at 18:16 of the first period.
John Albert responded for St. John's (10-12-6) in the final minute of the second to make it 1-1 heading into the third.
Ethan Werek and Jordan Caron scored less than three minutes apart midway through the third for Providence — which beat the IceCaps in overtime 5-4 on Tuesday — and Matt Lindblad secured the win with an empty-net goal at 19:21.
Connor Hellebuyck turned away 25-of-28 shots for St. John's.
The Bruins went 0 for 2 on the power play while the IceCaps failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
