Frisco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - FC Dallas saw its three-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday at Toyota Park, but the club will feel as though it earned three points in a 0-0 draw with Seattle Sounders FC as the hosts played the final 72 minutes with 10 men.

Dallas was bidding to start the campaign with four successive victories, but anything other than a loss looked unlikely after Kellyn Acosta was sent off with a straight red card in the 18th minute.

However, Seattle was unable to take advantage of the situation and had to settle for a point, leaving them with four from their opening three fixtures.

The big moment came just 18 minutes into the contest when Acosta was sent off by referee Kevin Stott for a high boot on Seattle's Andy Rose.

But despite being down a man, Dallas came within inches of taking the lead in the 29th minute when a free kick from Michel clattered off the crossbar.

Seattle seemed to lack creativity in the final third, and the team's best chance in the second half came in the 55th minute when a cross from Leo Gonzalez made its way through the face of goal to Chad Barrett, who managed to miss the net with a header from close range.

But Dallas remained dangerous and nearly scored on the counter attack a minute later with Fabian Castillo going close.
