AUCKLAND, New Zealand (AP) - Former world No.2 and 2004 French Open champion Anastasia Myskina was ousted in the first round the US$145,000 ASB Women's Tennis Classic on Monday, losing in three sets to Argentina's Gisela Dulko.

Second-seeded Myskina, whose world ranking dropped to 16 in 2006, appeared to struggle with a foot injury and required courtside treatment before going down to the 59th-ranked Dulko 6-1, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2.

Eighth-seeded Shenay Perry was also a first round casualty, losing 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 to Camille Pin of France.

Pin maintained an 82 percent first serve percentage and won 62 per cent of first serve points, keeping the American under constant pressure.

Defending champion and fourth-seeded Marion Bartoli of France beat Ayumi Morita of Japan 7-6 (4), 6-3 to advance smoothly to the second round.

In other matches Sun Tiantian of China beat New Zealand wild-card entry Leanne Baker 6-1, 6-1 and Emilie Loit completed a French sweep, beating Eva Birnerova of the Czech Republic 6-1, 6-1.

Top-seeded Jelena Jankovic of Serbia was to play her first-round match Tuesday against Julia Schruff of Germany.
