Basel, Switzerland (Sports Network) - Top seeds Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic highlighted Friday's quarterfinal winners at the Swiss Indoors tennis tournament.

The world No. 1 Federer dismissed Russian qualifier Evgeny Korolev 6-3, 6-2 at St. Jakobshalle. The mighty Swiss moved on in a mere 55 minutes, striking seven aces and breaking Korolev's serve three times.

The Basel native Federer is the reigning three-time champion in his hometown. He defeated David Nalbandian in last year's finale here, where he once served as a ball boy.

The men's all-time Grand Slam king Federer is also the reigning Wimbledon and French Open champ.

Federer's semifinal opponent on Saturday will be wild card and fellow Swiss Marco Chiudinelli, who cruised past Frenchman Richard Gasquet 6-1, 6-3 on Day 5 here.

Saturday's other semi will pit a second-seeded Djokovic against fifth-seeded Czech Radek Stepanek. Djokovic snuck past sixth-seeded Swiss crowd favorite Stanislas Wawrinka 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2, while Stepanek upended fourth-seeded Croat Marin Cilic 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.

The winner of this $2.59 million event will collect $430,000.
