TORONTO (CP) - Patricia Hy-Boulais will be inducted into Canada's Tennis Hall of Fame later this month.
Hy-Boulais, who played on the women's Tour for seven years in the 1990s, will be joined by Pierre Lamarche and Jim Fleck, both of whom will be inducted into the builders' category.
Hy-Boulais reached a career-high WTA ranking of No. 28 in 1993 and was Canada's top-ranked women's player from 1992 to '97. Her career highlights include a quarter-final appearance at the 1992 U.S. Open.
Lamarche was a founding force behind the All-Canadian Academy, now called ACE tennis. ACE was the first commercial tennis academy in Canada. The Montreal native has also held several positions at Tennis Canada, including head national coach, Davis Cup captain and Fed Cup captain.
Fleck has been a supporter of tennis in Canada for over 40 years and was an active member of the Tennis Canada board from 1987 to '95, including a term as chairman.
The induction ceremony is set for July 25 as part of the opening weekend for the Tennis Masters Canada tournament in Toronto.
