The International 6 has surpassed it’s 2015 predecessor for the largest prize pool in esports history.

It was confirmed Tuesday that the event from Aug. 8-13 in Seattle will boast more than the $18.4 million up for grabs at last year's tournament. With two weeks before TI6, the pot has already grown to exceed $18.6 million.

Valve got the ball rolling with a base pool of $1.6 million while fans and a portion of Valve’s International Battle Passes brought the pot up to its record heights. More than $10 million was raised in under three weeks.

The Wild Card round begins on Aug. 2 and the main event a week later.
