New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The NBA has suspended Oklahoma City center Kendrick Perkins one game for making head-to-head contact with New Orleans' Tyreke Evans.

Perkins got in the face of Evans with 4:17 left in the opening quarter of the Thunder's 116-113 home loss Friday night.

Perkins, who is averaging 4.0 points and 5.6 rebounds over 49 games this season, will sit out Sunday afternoon's home game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
