Recap:

4:30- ESPN Business Reporter Darren Rovell

Explained "Dunk City" and today is the first day that the University claimed to have the licensing agreement. It is hard to guarantee that this team will always have a team that can dunk. Baseball franchises are up 23% according to a Forbes statistic. MLB advanced media are now valued at $6 billion. Baseball owners are least concerned about the fans in the stands and will increase the prices if they have to.

4:45- TSN March Madness Analyst Jack Armstrong

Shared his thoughts on the Sweet Sixteen outcomes as well as predicted what will happen tonight. Marquette is very disciplined and hard nosed. Junior Cadougan is a terrific player and a patient player and is a steady guy who is part of winning. Florida Gulf Coast handled so many top teams, are legit and they can play with Florida.

5:00- TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie

Believes that Jay Bouwmeester will be moved by Wednesday, he has played well and logged a lot of minutes so it will be a big hole to fill in the lineup. Dan DeKeyser has signed as an UFA with the Detroit Red Wings. He is a good skater, passer, and overall a good hockey player and has the ability to play as an NHL defenseman for the next 10 years. The goalie market in general is really soft and haven't seen any goalie of an appreciable level move so it is safe to say that if they haven't moved yet, they won't this season.

5:15- CEO of Capstone Affluent Strategies/Prospective Coyotes Owner Darin Pastor

Thinks that he will be the one to solve the problems in the city of Glendale and save the Coyotes. It is a great investment and he believes that it is a great long term investment and just need the right operators to turn something that doesn't look so great into something spectacular.

5:30- Miami Dolphins Defensive End Vaughn Martin

Explained the process of deciding to sign with the Miami Dolphins. Miami was the most aggressive team and it made sense to sign with them. There were talks with the Seattle Seahawks, however, he knew that Miami was the perfect fit for him.

5:45- TSN Blue Jays Reporter Scott MacArthur

Discussed Ricky Romero's reaction to being sent to the minors. He is trying to convince himself that he is down there in spring training to work on the mechanics. It will go either two ways, he will either bounce back or be finished. Both Alex Anthopolous and John Gibbons stated that they're in it to win it.

6:00 Eric Duhatschek of the Globe and Mail

Reflects on when Jarome Iginla was traded for Joe Nieuwendyk but it is safe to say that this deal sucks for Calgary. The Flames thought that the difference between the two deals weren't as significant as the people on the outside thought. Iginla is a guy that plays with energy and has attitude. The losing has really brought him down over the least few years. Sidney Crosby and Iginla didn't always have chemistry during the Olympics.

6:15- TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger

Discussed the UFA signing of Dan DeKeyser with the Detroit Red Wings. Time will tell whether he will be the player that the Red Wings believe he is, the main focus was getting a half decent player for free, other than paying them salaries. The Calgary Flames are taking heat because they didn't take more from the Penguins. The city of Glendale is no longer on the hook where now the NHL has to take care of any losses.

Hour 3:

Dave is joined by President of the Canadian Olympic Committee Marcel Aubut and TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger. Hour 3 Audio

Recap:

4:30 – The Athletic Director of Florida Gulf Coast University Ken Kavanaugh

Explained how surreal getting to the sweet 16. The school is fairly new and has only been eligible in Division I for two years. Florida Gulf Coast has grown to 13,500 students over the last decade and a half. The university is working to get more students and fundraising to ensure that the athletic program is as good as the opposing universities.

5:00 – TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie

Shed light on the pressure that the Boston Bruins are under to get better before the playoffs. They have a good team when they are firing at all cylinders, however, at this moment, they're not the team they want to be and may go shopping for players to spark a fire. There are four teams that Jerome Iginla has requested to go to; Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, or Vancouver Canucks. All four of the teams must decide if they can afford the price of Iginla after this year. Brendan Morrow is more of a third line player for the Dallas Stars and they wanted to give him the opportunity to play for a contending team which allows them to rebuild. It is assumed that Jaromir Jagr will get a one year contract extension in Dallas. Dan DeKeyser has teams lining up to talk to him and sign him and he wants to talk to every team and McKenzie believes that he will decide to stay with the hometown team the Detroit Red Wings.

5:00 – Head Coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs Randy Carlyle

Explained that this year's team was going to have to work hard in order to win. Jake Gardiner has to be stronger defensively and has to step into other players physically. He has to use his skating ability to separate people from the puck. The media component is 1/3 of the job as a head coach here and learned that in order to survive coaches have to evolve as time changes in the NHL. Joffrey Lupul is a lot more mature and composed now from when he coached him in Anaheim, he could always score and has made a big committment in becoming a high level player. Putting him on the left side with Phil Kessel was a smart move by Ron Wilson because they have so much chemistry and it works for them. Ben Scrivens has been able to play a good game when the Leafs call upon him, and James Reimer has to be the guy to step up. Phil Kessel is an offensive player and as a coach, you can't take away his creativity, but with all players, two-way hockey is essential and expected. The Leafs haven't been successful in the shootout and the coaches have created tapes for the players with the successful players against the oppposing goalie.

5:30 – TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie

Discussed the Boston Bruin's need for a defenseman as there were rumours for Ryan Whitney heading to the Bruins, however, McKenzie confirmed that they were just rumours. There is speculation about Miikka Kippusoff leaving the Calgary Flames and he doesn't want to leave because of family matters.

6:00 – President of the Canadian Olympic Committee Marcel Aubut

Described the momentum that Canadian athletes have coming from Vancouver to Sochi in 2014. The expectations are the same, where Canada expects their athletes to perform at the top of the podium. The Canadian Olympic Committee decided to be patient in terms of bidding for the Winter Olympics. Quebec City wants to have an NHL team return and hopes that building a new arena will work they way it did for Winnipeg. When it comes to NHL players playing in the Olympics, he stated that he communicates with the NHL regularly on having the players represent their countries in Sochi next year.

5:45 – Voice of MLB on ESPN Dan Shulman

Was only mildly surprised with the decision to send Ricky Romero back to the minors. It doesn't make sense that a pitcher can be so good for a few years and then just fall off the board. He was the leader of the staff for a few years, during the second half of last year the stats weren't high and they let him keep pitching. The Jays have someone like J.A. Happ that can step in while Romero goes down to the minors. It is possible that everyone in the AL East to win about 90 games and Boston won't be as bad as they were last year because the chemistry in the clubhouse is much better.

6:15 – TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger

Discussed the status of Miikka Kipprusoff and the concerns there are surrounding whether or not he will report to a team if he is traded. When it comes to Roberto Luongo he believes that the Canucks are stuck with him for the remainder of the season and may have to give something to move him. Clarke MacArthur had an upper body injury and won't be out for much longer.

Recap:

4:45 – TSN Voice of "Futbol" Luke Wileman

Explained that Costa Rica wasn't aware of the appeal process against the United States during a blizzard. The game shouldn't have continued, however, it was up to the match commissioner. Costa Rica's captain didn't bring the complaint to the referee during the game. The United States were able to take advantage of the weather and that's what they needed. Countries in the CONCACAF use their home field advantage all the time.

Dan DeKeyser has teams lining up to talk to him and sign him and he wants to talk to every team and McKenzie believes that he will decide to stay with the hometown team the Detroit Red Wings.

5:30 – Richard Griffin of The Toronto Star

Checked in from Florida and thinks that keeping Ricky Romero on the roster anywhere other than the fifth starter is impossible. He believes that it was either fifth starter or the minor leagues. As soon as Brett Lawrie is ready to claim his roster spot, that is when they will decide on pitching. He has gotten very cautious, his right side doesn't feel the same as his left side. Baseball has such a long season and there can be stretches where a player carries the team on their shoulders, in this clubhouse, there is Jose Bautista who is an intense leader and then Jose Reyes who is a joyful leader. It gives the Blue Jays some extra personality.

5:40 – Senior Producer of New York Magazine Joe DeLessio

Shared his hatred for the shootout in the NHL because it isn't a reflection of the full range of hockey skills. The excitement has dropped since the NHL first introduced the shootout. The 4-on-4 overtime is exciting and has the passing, hitting, shooting, and the back-checking. One of the positives of the shootout is that there is always a highlight shootout in some games. He suggests to have alternating power plays so that if one team scores and the other doesn't, the game is decided.

6:00 – Dave Hodge Host of The Reporters

Gave his opinion on the shootout and mentioned that none of the Canadian hockey teams in the NHL have a winning record in the shootout. Buster Olney picked the Blue Jays to finish fourth in the AL East and Dave explained the importance of the players meeting their expectations as well as staying healthy. When it comes to RA Dickey, he is an engaging guy and an interesting player and character because of the pitch that made him successful late in his career. He will get a huge cheer every time he steps on the mound and if he wins the game, the fans will love him even more than before the game started.

6:15 – TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger

Discussed the state of the Toronto Maple Leafs. They are now a playoff team, however, not a Stanley Cup contending team. With the trade deadline around the corner there are curiosities of Carl Gunnarsson. General Managers won't ask about Nazem Kadri or Joffrey Lupul because they know that the Leafs won't give them up. Matt Frattin has to wake up and hopefully sitting in the press box against the Bruins was enough to do the job. If the Leafs do make the playoffs, questions arise about whether they should go ahead with James Reimer and Ben Scrivens.

Recap:

4:15 – Chris Cuthbert of the NHL on TSN

Decribed Claude Julien's changes to his lineup to ensure that there isn't a mid-March skid. The Boston Bruins haven't been scoring much lately so there needs to be some sort of shake up. Milan Lucic went from the first line to the third line. Julien stated that it wasn't about one guy, it was about the whole team.

4:45 – NY Times Op-Ed Columnist Joe Nocera

Discussed the many upsets during the NCAA Basketball tournament. During the tournament there are many students between the ages of 18 and 22 that are put on the big stage but aren't getting paid. He suggested to have a salary cap so that student athletes are getting paid while they go to school for only the sports that generate revenues.

5:00 – TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger

Explained why the Pittsburgh Penguins added their two new members to their roster. Teams are looking for depth before they make a playoff push. He believes that Brendan Morrow still has a lot of gas in the tank and that he adds to the lineup. He suggests that teams don't keep certain players for small details. Jerome Iginla made a list of all of the teams that he would want to go to and the Penguins are still not out of the race for him. With the trade deadline approaching, Dreger gives insight on which players he believes will be traded.

5:30 – ESPN Legal Analyst Lester Munson

Discussed MLB's mission to reverse years of abuse of performance enhancing drugs. Biogenesis refused to give MLB the documents and have said that they have shredded them and gotten rid of them. He believes that MLB will not get the records, however any laboratory that is trying to sell PEDs are now aware that MLB will go after them.

5:45 – TSN Blue Jays Beat Reporter Scott MacArthur

Discussed his concerns with Brett Lawrie's injury as he will not be starting the season. With R.A Dickey specializing in the knuckleball pitch, he compares JP Arencibia as a catcher to Henry Blanco. With Lawrie out for the beginning of the season, MacArthur makes his prediction on who he believes will fill his spot.

6:00 – TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie

Shed light on the Alexander Semin deal as he just signed a 5 year $7 million/year deal. He has played with numerous amounts of talented players and it is evident that Eric Staal enjoys having him on the team. Jon Cooper will now be the head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Nazem Kadri could eventually be the first line centre for the Maple Leafs, but if he is, he will then face the top line centres.
