Ray joins the guys to talk about last night’s embarrassing Leafs loss and how nervous the players should be about the video room, just as he was. He talks about the team not playing good hockey at any point of the game. Ray also discusses Nazem Kadri’s slash and how we can expect to see a fine and Jake Gardiner’s issues on the back end.

1:30 – PIERRE LEBRUN, TSN HOCKEY INSIDER

TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun joins Bryan and Jeff to examine the extensions that the San Jose Sharks gave Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton. Pierre explains why the team has Doug Wilson to thank for making all these great financial moves and how he’s surprised that this team has yet to get a sniff of a Stanley Cup. He also talks about the Ray Whitney rumours and the grind of playing in the Western Conference.

2:00 – JACK ARMSTRONG, TSN NBA ANALYST

Jack Armstrong, from the NBA on TSN, comes on to talk about whether or not he saw the Raptors as a playoff team to start the year. He explains how he did see them as a borderline 8th seed but has been impressed by them in this post-Rudy Gay era. Jack then delves into the losses that this team has taken and how they have to learn to respect their opponents. Finally, he looks at the play of Lebron James and Kevin Durant this year, and why KD deserves to be MVP.

2:30 – MIKE FLORIO, PRO FOOTBALL TALK AND NBC SPORTS

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk and NBC Sports joins Bryan to chat about Cleveland’s recent hiring of Mike Pettine and how the defensive-minded coach needs to find an excellent offensive coordinator. Mike also reviews Roger Goodell’s recent comments regarding marijuana use to treat concussions in the NFL and where the league should draw the line should they let it happen. He also talks about the fascination fans and the media have with Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.

3:00 – BRANDON DUBINSKY, COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS

With his team on an 8-game winning streak, Blue Jackets centre Brandon Dubinsky joins the show. Dubinsky reflect on the feeling of this current win streak and how he finds every game to be important, especially after the Blue Jackets were so close to making the playoffs last year. Finally, Dubinsky chats about his move from the bright lights of New York City to what seems like a small town in Columbus, Ohio.

3:30 – DAVE ZIRIN, EDGE OF SPORTS

Dave Zirin from Edge of Sports joins Bryan to talk about the corruption going on in Russia prior to the Olympics. He also discusses the rumour of NBC urging the U.S. Olympic Bobsled Team to have Lolo Jones on there so that they can market her and improve rating. Dave also talks about the fascination of Richard Sherman and the backwards racism he is experiencing, and why he's allowed to talk so much since he's such a star in the league.

Acclaimed Canadian Musician Sam Roberts joins Leafs Lunch to talk about his upcoming event; the Baycrest Scotiabank Pro-Am which features many NHL alumni. Being a Montreal native as well as a Canadiens fan, Sam also talks about his disdain for the Blue & White and what the rivalry means to him. He also talks about his new album and the excitement he experienced when his first single off his new album debuted on Hockey Night in Canada. Finally, Sam talks about the growth of great Canadian music and how the music industry is changing.

1:00 – RAY FERRARO, TSN HOCKEY ANALYST

With the Leafs facing off in Dallas tonight to take on the Stars, Ray offers up his in-depth analysis of the great play we’re seeing from the Texas team. He looks at how great a change of scenery has been for Tyler Seguin and what the Stars have to do to become relevant once again in that area. Ray even examines the Budaj/Fleury situation which didn’t end up in a fight, and he offers up some insight as to how Fleury tried avoiding a round of fisticuffs.

2:00 – HAYLEY WICKENHEISER, 5-TIME OLYMPIAN, JUST NAMED CANADA’S FLAG BEARER

After being named the official flag-bearer for Canada for the Olympics, the face of women’s hockey in Canada, Hayley Wickenheiser, joins Bryan to talk about how honoured she is to lead her country in Sochi. She claims she didn’t necessarily think about being the country’s flag-bearer until Hockey Canada told her she would be their representative. Wickenheiser also reflects back on her experiences at all of her previous Olympics and how women’s sports have grown in popularity since her first Olympic appearance.

2:35 – SONYA JEYASEELAN, FORMER PROFESSIONAL TENNIS PLAYER IN CANADIAN TENNIS HALL OF FAME

Former professional Canadian Tennis player Sonya Jeyaseelan joins Bryan to talk about Eugenie Bouchard’s success at the Australian Open. Even though she lost in the semi-finals, the 19-year-old star grabbed the country by storm and Sonya explains what that means for tennis in Canada. She talks about the pressures and expectations people now have for her and why Genie’s personality is built to handle it.

3:30 – BILL DALY, NHL DEPUTY COMMISSIONER

NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly has a busy week ahead of him with the next string of outdoor games starting this weekend. He talks about the challenges of the weather can provide when it’s too warm or cold and with all these outdoor games, how can the NHL keep the spectacle fresh for the fans. Daly also talks about the security risks in Sochi and what the NHL is doing to keep its players safe. Finally, Daly talks about the possibility of expanded replay, expansion in Las Vegas, and gambling in the NHL.

3:30 – JONAS SIEGEL, TSN 1050 LEAFS REPORTER

With the Leafs in Dallas, TSN 1050 Leafs Beat Reporter Jonas Siegel examines the Tyler Seguin deal for Toronto and how it seems like a dead story by this time. He discusses Kessel’s supposed streakiness and how it’s just something that’s part of his game. Jonas also gives an update on David Clarkson, who we can eventually expect back in the lineup once he’s off the injured reserved.

Toronto Maple Leafs Assistant General Manager Claude Loiselle joins Leafs Lunch to talk about the Leafs win streak. He says the fact that they’ve been starting games stronger is the main reason behind their recent success, along with a strong power play and top line. Loiselle also looks at Bozak’s return and what’s that done for guys like JVR and Nazem Kadri. He says Kadri excels when he's less concerned about his defensive game. He explains how the Leafs won’t be labeled as buyers or sellers for the deadline, but will only look to improve their team. Finally, Loiselle talks about the young veteran leadership on this team and gives us an update for David Bolland’s injury.

1:05 – RAY FERRARO, TSN HOCKEY ANALYST

Ray joins the guys and they get into the ridiculousness that is the Rob Ford video. Once they get serious, Ray looks at the possibility of the Leafs extending their winning streak to 7 tomorrow in Dallas. He then examines how teams use the Bruins and Blackhawks templates to create a competitor. Ray also looks at the issues the Capitals have been having and their lack of leadership as well as the concerns some might have about Sochi.

2:20 – RICHARD GRIFFIN, TORONTO STAR

With the Yankees picking up Tanaka with a monster deal, Richard Griffin of the Toronto Star explains what that can mean for the Toronto Blue Jays in their hunt for an arm. He claims that the team took issue with the length of the contract. Griffin then brings up the idea of who the team might now go after and who his favourites are to win the AL East.

2:35 – RICHARD DEITSCH, SPORTS ILLUSTRATED

With all the news reports regarding the terrorism threats in Sochi, Russia prior to the Olympics, Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated gives his take on the situation. He examines how this has been the first Olympic tournament with threats to this extent and how he’s never seen so many reports of supposed “impending doom.” Deitsch then delves into the question that Eugenie Bouchard was asked following her win at the Aussie Open and how they’re sexist considering men would never be asked the same thing.

3:05 – TESSA BONHOMME, LEAFS TV ANALYST AND OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST

Olympic Gold Medalist and Leafs TV Hockey Analyst Tessa Bonhomme joins Bryan to talk about the Leafs recent winning streak. As a former Olympian herself, she discusses the rumoured threats in Sochi, Russia and how people always feel safe in the athlete’s village as security protocol is followed to a tee. They also chat about the “Bieber” question Genie Bouchard was asked post match and how it put the young star in an awkward spot.

3:30 – JAMES DUTHIE, IN-STUDIO, NHL ON TSN HOST

James Duthie joins Bryan in-studio, the two talk about swimming in a hotel pool and sending Jeff “O-Dog” O’Neill to the Steak Queen made famous by Mayor Rob Ford. The guys then break down the Michael Del Zotto trade and whether it was Nashville or New York that came out on top. Duthie also looks at which teams, that aren’t in a playoff spot, can possibly make a run into the top 8 in the Eastern Conference. With that, they delve into the Leafs recent winning formula and how Duthie’s 49’ers are on a sad slope to Buffalo Bills territory.

Finally he talks about his new contract as well as Hayes’ awful wrist shot from when they played back in junior.

2:20 – RICHARD PEDDIE, FORMER MLSE PRESIDENT AND CEO

Richard Peddie, former MLSE President & CEO, comes on to talk about his comments regarding Dion Phaneuf’s decision to wear a Red Bull hat in locker room scrums. Peddie discusses how Phaneuf should be more focused on leadership and loyalty to the blue and white. Bryan brings up the fact that Darcy Tucker wore a hat with his own company logo on it. To conclude, he talks about being a CEO and speaking out against certain issues within one’s organization.

Also, he discusses whether or not Randy Carlyle is overworking Bernier. Finally, he previews the Avalanche/Leafs game tonight.
