Jack says the Celtics loss was one of those games where the Raptors didn’t have it and they need to burn the tape and move on. Jack feels that Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozen may have a shot at playing in the All-Star game in New Orleans. Jack talked about some of the key members of the Raptors bench like Patterson, Salmons, and Terrence Ross who have played very well. Jack says Ross has benefited the most since the Rudy Gay trade. Jack talked about Kevin Love who has emerged as great big man in the league.

Pierre McGuire – NHL on NBC

Pierre talked about the Canadiens win in Ottawa where Carey Price stole the game for Montreal. Pierre talked about how good Tomas Plekanec has been for Montreal and flies under the radar. Pierre talked about the Canadiens young players have been maturing and their power play has always been good which has been two reasons for their success. Pierre talked about the Canucks struggles scoring in recent games and there is no guaranteed to make the playoffs. Pierre talked about the Oilers and their mindset that acquiring all the young forwards without good goaltending will not work. Pierre talked about Scotty Bowman coaching in 5 decades which is unheard of and he saw everything. Pierre says he would put Scotty Bowman on the Mount Rushmore of coaches. Pierre takes the home teams in the NFL this weekend.

Leafs Breakfast w/Darren Dreger

Last night’s Montreal Canadiens vs. Ottawa Senators match up provided plenty of entertainment. The Maple Leafs are coming off a 4-3 shoot out win over the Buffalo Sabres & will be looking to “build off their momentum.” Montreal goaltender Carey Price has been playing very well of late therefore, the Leafs will have their hands full with a player that is looking to “continue to audition for the starter’s role in Sochi next month.” The NHL trade deadline is fast approaching (March 5th) & there could be a few trades on the horizon however they might not be “impact deals.”

Alex Marvez – Fox Sports One NFL Reporter

Alex talks about how losing Chris Harris in the Broncos secondary will hurt them facing Tom Brady. Alex thinks the Broncos to win at home but it wouldn’t surprise him if Patriots won because it will be a close game. Alex says the Niners/Seahawks know each other so well and it will be low scoring and the Niners will win by a field goal. Alex says the Niners beat people up especially on the offensive line. Alex expects the same final four teams could repeat next season.

Chris Schultz – TSN Football Analyst

Chris talked about life off the field in Dallas under Tom Landry. He talked being a Dallas Cowboy and the temptations around him and how he had to be smart. Chris thinks Peyton Manning will not retire if he loses on Sunday against the Patriots. Chris likes Denver will win at the end with the ball in Peyton Manning’s hands. Chris likes Seattle at home against the Niners because of their defense forcing turnovers.

Jeff O’Neill – TSN Leafs Analyst

Jeff talked about the Leafs hitting ‘rock bottom’ a week ago and they looked at themselves in the mirror. Jeff talked about Tyler Bozak’s emergence as one of the Leafs best players right now. Jeff says it makes no sense trading Nazem Kadri unless you get a top centre back in return and it won’t happen.

Pierre talked about the Leafs big win in Boston and there were lots of positives to take out of the game. Pierre feels their game against the Sabres is important and would not be surprised to see Bernier back in goal on back-to-back nights. Pierre talked about Ben Bishop returning to the Lightning lineup and was outstanding against the Rangers.

Leafs Breakfast w/Darren Dreger

Darren talked about the importance of the win despite the flu bug going through the team. Darren says Bernier was at his best and Tim Gleason performed very well defensively. Darren says the Leafs need to use the Bruins win as a ‘benchmark win’ after beating a quality team. Darren talked about Tyler Bozak earning his 4.2 million dollar contract who is playing well. Bozak plays very well with Kessel and JVR and they do not perform well when Bozak is not in the lineup. Darren feels Randy Carlyle deserves credit against Boston keeping Phil Kessel away from Chara. Darren isn’t sure who will start in goal tonight because Bernier was so good and Reimer had the flu bug.

Aaron Ward – TSN Hockey Analyst

Aaron dropped by the studio to talk about his new series ‘ReOrentation’ about debuting on Sportscentre tonight talking about gay athletes in sports. Aaron says in time a prominent NHL player will come out. Aaron says his sit down with Dustin Brown and Ben Scrivens opened his eyes because they are educated to accepting a gay player in their dressing room. Aaron says players need to drop ‘bombs’ because it may not hurt the player throwing them out but could effect the other player.

Alex Marvez – Fox Sports One NFL Reporter

Alex talks about the Broncos offense is very healthy and Peyton Manning has no excuses for losing Sunday. Alex says if Manning wins the Super Bowl it will go down as the greatest season ever for a quarterback. Alex says if the Patriots make it and win the Super Bowl it will be the greatest coaching job Bill Belichek has done. Alex wonders if the Seahawks can make big plays downfield if not they will lose to the Niners. Alex says Jim Caldwell is the ‘quarterback whisperer’ and will work with Matthew Stafford and try to cut down his turnovers. Alex questions whether if Ken Whisenhunt can develop a young Jake Locker because he has get success with veterans.

Pierre talked about the surging Columbus Blue Jackets who have suddenly put themselves in the mix for a wildcard spot and should not be taken lightly. Pierre talked about how tonight will be a huge moving night in the Eastern Conference with so many key matchups.

Leafs Breakfast w/Darren Dreger and Steve Simmons

Steve thinks the league thinks the Leafs are ‘soft’ but Bruins don’t have a healthy lineup right now. Darren says tonight is a measuring stick for the Leafs against a Bruins teams that struggled out west. Steve talks about the Leafs sending down Jerry D’Amigo and Peter Holland at times which hasn’t made sense because they have been useful and they are young. Steve says Randy Carlyle is a good coach and his players haven’t bought into what his style so far this season.

Jesse Palmer – TSN Football Analyst

Jesse talked about the end of the BCS Championship and it went out with a bang with some great games. Jesse was impressed with Florida St. and Jameis Winston how they came back against Auburn. Jesse talked about the draft stock of Taj Boyd going up because he beat a good Ohio St. team. Jesse talked about the surprise move of Ken Whisenhunt move to the Titans instead of the Lions. Jesse says he wants to see another installment of ‘1812’ the 15th edition of Manning vs Brady because of how legendary they are. Jesse loves the Niners/Seahawks matchup and thinks the Niners could pull the upset.

Mike Johnson – NHL on TSN

Mike talked about the rivalry between the Canucks/Kings and how physical it is. Mike says not to get carried away after one win in Winnipeg. There are issues with this team and despite a great start of the Paul Maurice era fans cannot plan a Stanley Cup parade route. Pierre felt bad for Claude Noel who was fired by the Jets and feels Kevin Cheveldayoff needs to get Paul Maurice some better defensemen. Pierre talked about teams around Toronto heating up and the Leafs need to keep pace especially with Ottawa and the Rangers heating up.

Leafs Breakfast w/Darren Dreger

Darren talks about the Leafs improvement against the Capitals and the Devils. Friday was a moral victory and Carlyle and the Leafs built off that. Darren says Boston is a better measurement then the Penguins because Pittsburgh isn’t as ‘heavy’ or nasty to play against. Darren says the Leafs hope David Bolland can play a couple of games before the Olympics. Darren talked about Paul Maurice possibly bringing Tom Barrasso to the Jets with him. It makes sense especially with the Jets goaltending woes.

Chris Schultz – TSN Football Analyst

Chris talks about the Niners win over the Panthers and the turning point was the 3rd quarter and the Panthers had a 8-minute drive and came up without points then the Niners scored on their next possession. Chris talked about the Saints Colston’s terrible decision with his forward pass at the end of the game was a ‘hero mentality’ moment when he panicked in the heat of the moment. Chris says he would take Tom Brady in a winner-take-all game over Peyton Manning. Chris says Manning and Brady know ‘age awareness’ that their careers are running out and chances to win a Super Bowl. Chris says Manning will be crushed if he loses to Brady and the Patroits.

Shane Hnidy – Winnipeg Jets Colour Analyst

Shane thinks Claude Noel is a great guy but his time ran its course in Winnipeg. Shane says the Jets needs an identity because it has never been defined. Shane says Paul Maurice brings experience and it should be a good fit in Winnipeg. Shane talked about the issue with goaltending but the guys in front of Pavelec/Montoya need to be better defensively. Shane says the Noel firing is the first move but expects players to change soon. Shane isn’t sure what return a Jokinen or Setoguchi the Jets would get in return.

Aaron Ward – NHL on TSN

Aaron talks about his three part series ‘Reorientation’ which will debut on Sportscentre. Aaron talks about meeting athletes both gay and straight and it opened his eyes. Aaron talked about playing for Paul Maurice and his greatest asset is getting the most out of poor teams. He did that in Carolina. Aaron says he enjoyed picking Maurice’s brain on the TSN panel because he thinks outside of the box.
