Jonas Valanciunas will make his first appearance for the Toronto Raptors tonight when the club visits the Detroit Pistons in pre-season action.
Valanciunas, who was Toronto's first-round pick (fifth overall) in 2011, missed training camp with a calf injury and was held out of Toronto's win over Real Madrid on Monday.
Raptors head coach Dwane Casey told media on Wednesday that he will play Valanciunas for about 10-12 minutes against the Pistons.
Tonight's game is Detroit's first of the pre-season.
Toronto beat the touring Real Madrid squad 102-95 at the Air Canada Centre on Monday. DeMar DeRozan had 18 points to lead the Raptors while John Lucas added 16.
The Raptors play a return game against the Pistons in Toronto on Friday and then have four days off before hosting the Washington Wizards next Wednesday.
The Raptors open their regular season at home against the Indiana Pacers on Oct. 31.
