With the NHL Trade Deadline less than a month away, teams are making decisions on whether to buy or sell. Check out today's trade rumours and speculation from around the NHL beat, and follow TSN.ca each day until Deadline Day for all the updates.

Not Distracted

Jarome Iginla is well aware of the trade rumours that are swirling around him, but he's doing his best to keep his mind on his current job with the Calgary Flames.

The Calgary Herald reports that Iginla spoke at Wednesday's morning skate about the issue.

"As far as speculation, I said at the beginning of the year that I don't want anything to be a distraction," said Iginla. "I'm not going to talk about any of that speculation. As a team, we're in a very critical point."

Fellow Flame Lee Stempniak also addressed the rumours that have been following his team.

"I don't really read the newspapers too much for the sports or listen to the radio or watch too much TV regarding hockey," he said. "You can get too wrapped up in it, whether it's good or bad. You try to shut things out and not worry about it."

Wait and See

According to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun, the Senators will wait to see how their injured players heal before making any trade decisions. Garrioch noted that the Senators were without six regulars for their game on Wednesday in Montreal, and they are awaiting the returns of Craig Anderson, Jason Spezza, and Mike Lundin.

"It depends on how the team plays and the needs at the time," said Senators GM Bryan Murray on Wednesday. "We've got a number of bodies that hopefully are coming back in the near future."

Bye Bye Buffalo?

Bucky Gleason of the Buffalo News says that the time may be right for the Sabres to move veteran players like Ryan Miller, Thomas Vanek, and Jason Pominville. Those three players each have one year left before becoming unrestricted free agents, and the Sabres are on pace to miss the playoffs for the fourth time in six years.

Gleason writes, "The Sabres' problem with Miller, Vanek and Pominville is that they're the players most worth keeping and most worth trading. Keeping any or all of them comes with inherent risks, but so does moving them."

Proven Producer

Speaking on NHL Network Radio on Wednesday, TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger says that St. Louis Blues forward Chris Stewart is a player whose name has come up in trade speculation.

"Stewart's name is out there, and when a name like that surfaces based on how well he's played this year and he continues to produce, then you know that there's an expected high level of return," Dreger explained. "St. Louis and Doug Armstrong have been looking for a defenceman since basically the start of the year."

Dreger added that the Blues at least had some interest in Toronto's Nikolai Kulemin, whom he believes would fit in well with head coach Ken Hitchcock's philosophy and depth up front.
