The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed Leo Komarov on injured reserve with an upper-body injury, and the 26-year-old forward is expected to be sidelined for the next 7-10 days.
"He is unavailable to our hockey club for a minimum of one week," head coach Randy Carlyle said. "We are looking at it probably 7-10 days."
Ryan Hamilton, the Toronto Marlies' leading scorer this season with 30 goals and 18 assists, draws into the lineup in Komarov's place.
Komarov was injured in the second period of Thursday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
Komarov has one goal and four assists through 31 games this season.
