The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired veteran defenceman Mark Streit from the New York Islanders in exchange for forward Shane Harper and a fourth-round pick in the 2014 NHL draft. The deal gives Philadelphia a window of opportunity to negotiate a contract with the Swiss defenceman before he becomes an unrestricted free agent on July 5. Full Story.

The Nashville Predators have traded forward Bobby Butler to the Florida Panthers in exchange for defenceman T.J. Brennan. Butler has 20 goals and 28 assists in 128 games with Ottawa, New Jersey and Nashville. He had four goals and seven assists last season split between the Devils and Predators. Full Story.
