The Los Angeles Kings have traded defenceman Mattias Norstrom to the Dallas Stars.
The Kings shipped their off captain, along with forward Konstantin Pushkarev and third and fourth-round picks in 2007 in exchange for defenceman Jaroslav Modry, prospect Johan Fransson, second and third-round picks in 2007 and a 2008 first-round selection.
Norstrom, 34, joined the Kings in the 1995-96 season and had the longest term of consecutive service on the team.
The Kings acquired Norstrom from the New York Rangers in March 1996. His career with both teams spans 823 regular season games and 31 NHL postseason games.
In 62 games this season, he has two goals and nine points.
