Kings acquire Halpern from Lightning for Purcell, draft pick

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired veteran forward Jeff Halpern from the Tampa Bay Lightning.

In 55 games this season, the 33-year old Halpern has nine goals and eight assists.

In exchange for Halpern the Lightning get forward Ted Purcell and a third-round draft pick.

The 24-year old Purcell has three goals and three assists in 41 games with the Kings this season.
