Team SoloMid held off a late charge from Cloud9 to win the 2017 North American League of Legends Championship Series Spring Final in Vancouver, B.C.

TSM stormed out to a 2-0 series lead before allowing C9 back into the series with consecutive wins of their own to push the final to a fifth and deciding contest.

The opening two matches looked like TSM would be taking home the title with relative ease. They had an answer for C9 at every turn to open the series and destroyed five towers and secured 11 kills to one just 22 minutes into Game 1. They would give up just one kill for the entire match and rolled to a victory in 28 minutes.

Game 2 started out well for C9 but quickly turned worse than Game 1. C9 struck first just four minutes into the match but were facing a major deficit by the 10-minute mark. TSM snowballed exponentially throughout the course of the game and put C9 on the brink of elimination in less than 23 minutes.

C9 put all its cards on he table for Game 3 and 4, using aggression and strong team work to grind their way back into the series. They needed a marathon 43 minutes to stay alive in Game 3 and 31 minutes in Game 4 to extend the final once again.

But the momentum would not continue in the series decider. Led by mid laner Soren "Bjergsen" Bjerg, who went 8/3/2 on Syndra in Game 5, TSM battled through multiple deficits to pull out a 43-minute win to take home the spring championship.

The win qualifies TSM for the Mid-Season Invitational beginning on Apr. 28.

On Saturday, Phoenix1 defeated FlyQuest 3-2 to secure third place.
