Among the first-year eligible players for the Hockey Hall of Fame are Nicklas Lidstrom, Chris Pronger, and Sergei Fedorov.

As announced earlier this month, TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie is set to receive the Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award for excellence in hockey journalism during the Hockey Hall of Fame NHL Media Awards presentations in November.
