Russ Anber is the undisputed authoritative voice of boxing in Canada. The energetic and entertaining boxing guru is the host of TSN's weekly 30-minute boxing show IN THIS CORNER With Russ Anber and ESPN Classic's HBO Boxing Classics and Classic Night at the Fights.

Anber has been working with TSN since 1996 and has covered every major boxing event, including the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championship Boxing, and the Canadian National Senior Championships. In 2004, Anber joined TSN on a regular basis after the Olympic Games in Athens.

The President of Rival Technical Boxing Gear, Anber is a veteran boxing trainer who has trained four Olympians, one World Champion, two Commonwealth Games gold medallists, as well as numerous national champions. He first made his mark as an amateur boxing coach at age 18, and today he continues to coach championship-calibre boxers at his Ring 83 Boxing Club in Montreal.

Anber became the first coach to produce a medal for Canada at the World Boxing Championships in Reno when boxer Howard Grant won silver in 1986. In 1996, Anber sent three athletes to the Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta and was named Montreal Coach of the Year (for all sports). In 1997, Anber reached the pinnacle of his coaching career when he guided Otis Grant to the WBO World Middleweight title.

Anber is in his third term as President of Boxing Quebec and is a member of Boxing Canada's Board of Directors.

Anber, a Montreal native, is a self-proclaimed 'Snooker Junkie' and '9-Ball enthusiast' and hopes to one day carry his broadcasting career over to the green baize.
