Katherine Dolan was born and raised in Calgary and joined TSN in June 2009 as a reporter.
The former high school teacher-turned-broadcaster returned to The University of Western Ontario for her MA in journalism and began her television career in 2006 at CTV Timmins, initially working as a news reporter before moving to sports.
Dolan relocated to CTV Sault Ste. Marie in 2007 as the station's full-time sports reporter, spending hours in community rinks and serving as beat reporter for the Ontario Hockey League's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. The following year, she joined 'A' Barrie as a sports anchor and reporter where she covered all sports from amateur to professional, including the OHL's Barrie Colts.
Dolan has had the opportunity to cover a variety of sports stories, including the 2008 homecoming of the Canadian World Junior hockey team, the 2008 OHL All-Star Game and OHL playoffs. Dolan also covered freestyle skiing at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
