Luke Wileman has more than 15 years experience as a soccer broadcaster in Europe and North America. Before moving to Canada in 2006, Wileman – who has lived and breathed soccer from an early age – spent 10 years with the BBC in England as a sports broadcaster and play-by-play commentator for the English Premier League and other top European soccer competitions. He also worked for regional television stations in Leeds and his hometown of Sheffield, and hosted a FIFA World Cup talk show on national radio in the U.K. during the summer of 2006.
Following his move to Canada, Wileman spent time as a soccer reporter, host and sports anchor at the FAN 590 in Toronto, and also worked for The Canadian Press as a soccer writer throughout 2007. Most recently, Wileman was the television play-by-play voice of Toronto FC on GOLTV Canada for the past three years.
Wileman graduated from the University of Sheffield with an honours degree in Journalism.
