Brian Engblom

Analyst, Hockey on TSN

Born and bred in Winnipeg, Brian Engblom joins TSN as a hockey analyst for Winnipeg Jets games on the newly-created digital channel, TSN Jets.

A former NHL defenceman, Engblom was selected 22nd overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1975 NHL Entry Draft and went on to win three Stanley Cups with the team in 1977, 1978 and 1979. During his 11-year NHL career, Engblom played for five different teams: the Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals, LA Kings, Buffalo Sabres and Calgary Flames. He retired in 1987 with a career total of 29 goals and 177 assists.

Engblom began his broadcasting career in 1993 at ESPN as an NHL studio analyst until 2004. In addition to his duties at TSN, Engblom is a studio analyst for Versus and does post-game analysis for the Colorado Avalanche on Altitude Sports and Entertainment.

Engblom was inducted into the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame in 1990.
