Christian Ehrhoff has found a home for the season, in his homeland of Germany.

Kolner Haie of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga announced on Monday the club had agreed to terms with the veteran defenceman.

Ehrhoff, 34, spent last season with the Los Angeles Kings before being traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. He scored two goals and added 10 assists in 48 regular season games.

Erhoff played in all six games with Team Europe at the World Cup of Hockey in September and led the team’s defence with three points. He attended training camp with the Boston Bruins on a professional try-out but declined to sign with the team because he would not have been in their top six.

Ehrhoff has appeared in 789 NHL season games with six NHL teams.
