Radim Vrbata is returning to the desert.

The team announced that the 35-year-old has agreed to a one-year deal. The Czech native spent six seasons with the team in 2007-2008 and from 2009 to 2014.

A 14-year National Hockey League veteran, Vrbata spent the past two seasons with the Vancouver Canucks.

Vrbata appeared in 63 games for the Canucks last year, scoring 13 goals and adding 14 assists. He scored 31 goals in 2014-15.

Originally taken in the seventh round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche, Vrbata has also spent time with the Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks and Tampa Bay Lightning.

In 934 career games, Vrbata has recorded 259 goals and 295 assists.
