The Vancouver Canucks skated for an hour on Tuesday morning at UBC. The session was interrupted when Sven Baertschi broke a pane of glass in behind one of the nets with a slap shot off the left wing. The Canucks shifted to an adjacent sheet of ice for about 20 minutes while maintenance crews repaired the damage.

The biggest news of the day was Radim Vrbata reunited with Daniel and Henrik Sedin as the Canucks try to jump-start their top three scorers from last season.

Vrbata is without a point through the club's first six games, while Henrik Sedin has just one point in his past five contests. Coach Willie Desjardins confirmed he plans to use that trio on Thursday night against the Washington Capitals.

Rookie Jared McCann, who did not practice Saturday or play Sunday against Edmonton, centred the team's fourth line with Brandon Prust and Derek Dorsett.

Injured winger Chris Higgins skated on his own for the first time since his Sept. 21 ankle injury suffered in the preseason opener in Victoria. He said he felt no pain in his foot, but has no timetable for a return to the lineup.

Injured goaltender Jacob Markstrom also skated prior to practice. He tweaked a hamstring in practice two weeks ago today.

Canucks lines at practice Tuesday:

Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata

Burrows - Sutter - Hansen

Baertschi - Horvat - Virtanen

Prust - McCann - Dorsett

Extra: Cracknell

The Canucks will skate again Wednesday at UBC before hosting Washington Thursday at Rogers Arena.
