Here are a few topics from this week's edition that stood out:

The Canadiens and pending UFA Alexander Radulov

"This is an interesting one, it's going to be a dicey one for both Radulov and the Montreal Canadiens. I should point out that Marc Bergevin is not going to talk about this at all. Cone of silence down entirely on any talks, negotiations or where things stand. So you're going to get nothing from him or from Radulov's North American agent Rick Komarow who just isn't going to do that. So we're left to our own devices. So this is all strictly opinion, no inside information...."

So you want to be an NHL referee...

"I asked (NHL Director of Officiating Stephen Walkom) about what they're looking for in young officials. He had a really interesting answer and he said that he recommended if anyone wanted to be a referee, to continue playing hockey as a player for as long as you possibly can. And the reason he says that is because he finds that the young officials that come into the game now who have played the game for a long period of time, (that) really helps them understand the game better. They're looking for people with great hockey IQ and a great feel for the game..."

Another legendary Canadian band

But if you're talking legendary status up there with The Hip and in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, for me it would have to be Blue Rodeo. Jim Cuddy, Greg Keelor...like The Hip, I think I've got every Blue Rodeo release that's been out along with the solo albums from Jim Cuddy..."
