WHL: Hitmen beat Rockets to extend win streak
The Calgary Hitmen extended their win streak to five games on Sunday by defeating the league-leading Kelowna Rockets 4-1 in Western Hockey League action.

CALGARY - The Calgary Hitmen extended their win streak to five games on Sunday by defeating the league-leading Kelowna Rockets 4-1 in Western Hockey League action.
Chase Lang had a goal and an assist for the Hitmen (19-11-3) while Beck Malenstyn, Layne Bensmiller and Adam Tambellini added a goal apiece.
Dillon Dube scored the lone goal for the Rockets (26-5-3), who had their five-game win streak halted.
Calgary's Mack Shields made 17 saves for the win as Jackson Whistle stopped 27-of-30 shots for Kelowna.
The Hitmen went 0 for 4 on the power play while the Rockets scored once on four chances with the man advantage.

BRANDON, Man. — Jordan Papirny stopped all 23 shots he faced as the Wheat Kings blanked Red Deer.
Tim McGauley struck twice for East Division-leading Brandon (24-7-3), John Quenneville had a goal and an assist and Reid Duke also scored.
Rylan Toth made 18 saves for the Rebels (18-12-4), who had a four-game win streak snapped with the loss.
