BRANDON, Man. — Ty Lewis had a hat trick and added an assist to lead the Brandon Wheat Kings to a 6-0 rout of the Spokane Chiefs on Saturday night in Western Hockey League action.

Logan Thompson stopped all 30 shots in net for the shutout.

Connor Gutenberg struck twice with Reid Duke also scoring to round out the attack for Brandon (5-3-2). Kale Clague tacked on three helpers.

Dawson Weatherill took the loss for the Chiefs (3-6-2) after turning aside 14-of-17 shots in 21:05. Jayden Sittler came on in relief and made 14 saves.

The Wheat Kings went 1 for 5 on the power play while Spokane was scoreless on four chances.

REBELS 3 RAIDERS 1

RED DEER, Alta. — Brandon Hagel scored the winner in the second period and Lasse Petersen made 29 saves as the Rebels got past Prince Albert.

Josh Mahura added insurance on the power play and Michael Spacek had the other for Red Deer (7-3-2), which won its fifth straight.

Vojtech Budik replied on the power play for the Raiders (3-7-1), with Nicholas Sanders stopping 32 shots.

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Lane Zablocki scored a hat trick and added an assist as Regina toppled the Tigers.

Austin Wagner had a goal and three assists for the Pats (9-0-3) with Jake Leschyshyn, Filip Ahl, Dawson Leedahl and Adam Brooks rounding out the attack. Tyler Brown made 35 saves.

Mark Rassell struck twice with Ryan Chyzowski, David Quenneville and Max Gerlach also chipping in for Medicine Hat (8-4-1). Nick Schneider kicked out 32-of-38 shots.

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Deven Sideroff scored his second goal of the game in overtime as the Blazers topped Tri-City.

Collin Shirley also had a pair of goals for Kamloops (7-6-0), with Dylan Ferguson making 21 saves.

Kyle Olson, Parker Wotherspoon and Morgan Geekie found the back of the net for the Americans (6-5-1). Rylan Parenteau turned aside 33 shots.

Joe Gatenby of the Blazers received a major penalty and game misconduct for checking to the head in the second period.

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Brad Morrison's second goal of the game was the winner in the third as the Cougars edged Saskatoon.

Ty Edmonds made 29 saves while Jansen Harkins and Jesse Gabrielle each tacked on two helpers for Prince George (11-2-1).

Josh Paterson had the lone goal for the Blades (6-5-1) with Brock Hamm turning away 34 shots.

VANCOUVER — Ty Ronning found the back of the net at 2:31 of overtime as the Giants slipped past Swift Current.

Lane Pederson opened the scoring with a goal on the man advantage for the Broncos (8-4-2). Taz Burman turned away 35 shots in net.
