WHL: Lukin leads Americans past Winterhawks
Vladislav Lukin scored his second goal of the night at the 13:53 mark of the third period as the Tri-City Americans edged the Portland Winterhawks 4-3 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Vladislav Lukin scored his second goal of the night at the 13:53 mark of the third period as the Tri-City Americans edged the Portland Winterhawks 4-3 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action.
Kurtis Rutledge and Parker AuCoin also scored as Tri-City (8-5-1) built a 3-1 lead by the game's midway point. Rylan Parenteau made 30 saves for the win.
Cody Glass tied it 3-3 for Portland (8-6-0) 2:37 into the third period. Keegan Iverson and Evan Weinger had goals as well for the Winterhawks, who have lost three in a row. Cole Kehler stopped 27 shots in net.
Lukin's first goal came on one of the Americans' five power plays. Portland was 1 for 3 with the man advantage.

EDMONTON — Kale Clague had the winner and added two assists as Brandon topped the Oil Kings.
Tanner Kaspick, Stelio Mattheos and James Shearer also scored for the Wheat Kings (6-3-2), while Tak Anholt put the puck into an empty net. Brandon is on a five-game point streak.
Kole Gable, Trey Fix-Wolansky and Lane Bauer replied for Edmonton (4-6-2).
