KENNEWICK, Wash. - Lucas Nickles scored twice and Eric Comrie turned aside 36 shots as the Tri-City Americans downed the Prince George Cougars 7-4 on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Ty Comrie, Brian Williams, Maxwell James and Jordan Topping had goals in the second period for the Americans (29-35-3). Justin Gutierrez rounded out the attack as they snapped a two-game skid.

Chase Witala, Zach Pochiro, David Soltes and Josh Connolly chipped in for Prince George (28-35-5).

Ty Edmonds started in net for the Cougars and kicked out 25-of-31 shots in 48:45. Tavin Grant went the rest of the way and made four saves.

Tri-City scored once on four power plays while Prince George went 1 for 8.

RED DEER, Alta. — Riley Sheen scored the first of three straight in the second period on the power play as the Rebels slipped past Calgary.
