RED DEER, Alta. - Ivan Nikolishin capped the come-from-behind victory with a goal at 16:52 of the third period as the Red Deer Rebels slipped past the visiting Seattle Thunderbirds 4-3 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action.

Conner Bleackley and Evan Polei also scored in the third for the Rebels (12-5-0) to erase a 3-1 deficit.

Haydn Fleury opened the scoring in the first period for Red Deer while Nikolishin tacked on two assists for a three-point outing.

Nick Holowko, Gustav Olhaver and Alexander True supplied the offence for the Thunderbirds (9-4-1).

Rylan Toth made 23 saves for the Rebels as Taz Burman turned aside 19-of-23 shots for Seattle.

Red Deer went 1 for 3 on the power play while the Thunderbirds failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.

ROYALS 3 BRONCOS 1

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. — Coleman Vollrath made 29 saves and Alex Forsberg assisted on each of his club's goals as Victoria downed the Broncos.

Matthew Philips had a goal and an assist for the Royals (11-5-1) while Dante Hannoun and Tyler Soy rounded out the offence.

Cavin Leth scored for Swift Current (6-8-2). Travis Child allowed two goals on eight shots in 9:06 of action before giving way to Landon Bow, who made 26 saves in relief.

HITMEN 6 BLADES 3

SASKATOON — Michael Zipp had two goals and an assist and Radel Fazleev scored once and set up two more as Calgary doubled up the Blades.

Jakob Stukel, Mark Kastelik and Jackson Houck also found the back of the net for the Hitmen (9-7-1), who got a 22-save outing from Cody Porter.

Mason McCarty, Brycen Martin and Connor Gay scored for Saskatoon (7-6-3). Brock Hamm stopped 21-of-26 shots in defeat.

BLAZERS 5 CHIEFS 4 (OT)

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Collin Shirley scored the fifth of five unanswered goals 1:42 into the extra period as the Blazers came from behind to defeat Spokane.

Gage Quinney, Matt Needham, Nick Chyzowski and Ryan Rehill also scored for Kamloops (6-8-0). Dylan Ferguson stopped all 13 shots in relief after taking over for Connor Ingram, who gave up four goals on 16 shots in 25:39.

Dominic Zwerger, with two, Adam Helewka and Luke Harrison built the Chiefs (7-7-3) a 4-0 lead 5:39 into the second period. Tyson Verhelst started in net for Spokane but left the game less than four minutes into the second period. Matt Berlin came off the bench and stopped 19-of-24 shots in relief.

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Nick Merkley had a pair of third-period goals and Jackson Whistle made 25 saves as Kelowna toppled the Americans.

Kole Lind also scored for the Rockets (11-5-0) and Dillon Dube tacked on two assists.

Jordan Topping struck for Tri-City (6-9-1). Evan Sarthou turned away 24-of-26 shots in defeat.
