EDMONTON - Brett Pollock opened the scoring on the power play late in the first period and the Edmonton Oil Kings never looked back, scoring five straight to beat the Medicine Hat Tigers 5-1 on Sunday in Western Hockey League action.

Luke Bertolucci, Edgars Kulda, Dysin Mayo and Brandon Baddock also found the back of the net for Edmonton (27-27-6). Tristan Jarry made 30 saves for the win.

Matt Bradley responded with a power-play goal late in the third period for the Tigers (37-20-3). Marek Langhamer kicked out 26 shots in net.

The Oil Kings scores twice on four power plays while Medicine Hat converted once on five chances.

SILVERTIPS 5 HURRICANES 4

EVERETT, Wash. — Nikita Scherbak scored once and set up two more as the Silvertips used a four-goal first period to halt a three-game skid with a win over Lethbridge.

Noah Juulsen, Patrick Bajkov, Dawson Leedhal and Graham Millar also scored for Everett (36-17-7) as Austin Lotz made 19 saves for the win.

Johnny Wesley, Giorgio Estephan, Jamal Watson and Brayden Burke supplied the offence for the Hurricanes (18-35-7), who are on a four-game slide. Stuart Skinner stopped 34-of-39 shots in defeat.
