CALGARY — Nikita Popugaev completed his hat trick when he scored 1:35 into overtime and the Moose Jaw Warriors went on to beat the host Calgary Hitmen 4-3 on Sunday in Western Hockey League action.
Jayden Halbgewachs also scored and added an assist for the Warriors (5-2-2).
Jakob Stukel, Tyler Mrkonjic and Aaron Hyman found the back of the net for the Hitmen (3-3-1), who are on a three-game slide.
Zach Sawchenko made 27 saves for the win as Kyle Dumba stopped 15-of-19 shots in defeat.
Moose Jaw went 1 for 6 on the power play while Calgary failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
