EDMONTON — Sam Steel is keeping the Regina Pats the hottest team in the Western Hockey League.

Steel scored his 17th goal of the season and added two assists as Regina downed the Edmonton Oil Kings 4-2 on Wednesday to remain undefeated in regulation time.

Chase Harrison scored the winner with 2:21 left in the third as Regina (15-0-3) reeled off four unanswered goals for its 11th straight win. Connor Hobbs and Nick Henry also found the back of the net in the third period. Steel leads the WHL with 37 points and is second in the league with 17 goals.

Davis Murray and Lane Bauer helped Edmonton (8-10-2) to a 2-0 lead until Steel's goal with 15 seconds left in the second.

Jordan Hollett made 15 saves for the win, while Patrick Dea stopped 39-of-42 shots for the Oil Kings.

The Pats were 1 for 3 on the power play and Edmonton couldn't score on its one man advantage.

BLAZERS 2 SILVERTIPS 1 (OT)

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Rudolfs Balcers scored his second goal of the night in overtime as the Blazers slipped past Everett.

Balcers tied it 1-1 at the 15:31 mark of the second period for Kamloops (11-10-1) before scoring again 11 seconds into the extra period.

Orrin Centazzo was the lone scorer for the Silvertips (15-2-3), who are on a nine-game point streak including seven wins.

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. — Zak Zborosky struck twice — including the eventual winner — as Kootenay topped the Hurricanes.

Cale Fleury also had a pair of goals for the Ice (4-12-5).

Tanner Nagel replied for Lethbridge (7-10-3).

AMERICANS 5 HITMEN 1

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Captain Tyler Sandhu had a short-handed goal and added an assist as Tri-City stormed out to an early lead and never looked back in a win over Calgary.

Morgan Geekie and Parker Wotherspoon scored on the power play for the Americans (13-7-1), while Juuso Valimaki and Michael Rasmussen chipped in as well.

Micheal Zipp's goal near the midway point of the third was too late for the Hitmen (7-7-2).

LANGLEY, B.C. — Radovan Bondra had a hat trick to power Vancouver past Prince Albert.

Thomas Foster had the eventual winner in the second period for the Giants (10-12-0) and Matt Barberis also scored.

Cole Fonstad, Cavin Leth and Sean Montgomery supplied the offence for the Raiders (5-15-1), who have dropped four in a row.
