WHL: Thunderbirds soar to rout Americans
Scott Eansor scored three goals and set up another as the Seattle Thunderbirds routed the Tri-City Americans 7-3 in Western Hockey League action on Tuesday. Eansor found an empty net with 4:51 remaining to cap a four-goal third period for Seattle (35-25-9). He had two first-period goals for the hat trick.

Roberts Lipsbergs struck twice, Shea Theodore and Ethan Bear had a goal and a helper apiece, and Matthew Barzal chipped in with two assists for the Thunderbirds.
Justin Gutierrez scored shorthanded for the Americans (29-37-3), to tie the game 3-3 late in the second period. Beau McCue and Richard Nejezchleb also scored.
Taran Kozun picked up the victory with 21 saves. Tri-City's Eric Comrie stopped 31 shots.
Both teams were 0 for 3 on the power play.

WARRIORS 6 BRONCOS 2
MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Brent Howden scored twice and Torrin White added a goal and two assists as the Warriors powered past Swift Current.
Jesse Shynkaruk and Jiri Smelkal had a goal and a helper apiece for Moose Jaw (31-34-5). Brayden Point rounded out the attack and Tyler Brown contributed with three assists.
Jake DeBrusk and Zac Mackay supplied the offence for the Broncos (32-33-5).

REGINA — Nolan Patrick struck twice to lead Brandon over the Pats for its fifth straight victory.
Morgan Klimchuk had an empty-net goal and an assist for the Wheat Kings (52-11-7) and Peter Quenneville also scored.
Braden Christoffer had the lone goal for Regina (37-23-10).
