The team announced on Wednesday that the soon-to-be restricted free agent has signed a two-year contract worth $4 million.

A native of Newport Beach, California, Zucker had 13 goals and 10 assists in 71 games a season ago.

Zucker, 24, was originally taken in the second round (59th overall) of the 2010 National Hockey League Entry Draft out of the United States National Team Development Program Under-18 team. He was a member of the United States team that won gold at the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships in Saskatchewan.

In 169 career NHL games over parts of five seasons, Zucker has 42 goals and 19 assists. He had a career-best 23 goals in the 2014-15 season.

With Zucker off of the board, the Wild have defenceman Matthew Dumba and goaltender Darcy Kuemper as the team's remaining pending restricted free agents.
