Drew Willy is day-to-day as he recovers from the injury sustained Thursday against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers released a statement Friday saying their starting quarterback continued to see team medical staff Friday morning and will be listed as day-to-day as he is further evaluated.

Willy’s status for the Bombers next game, Friday against the Montreal Alouettes, is unknown at this time and head coach Mike O’Shea will provide an update on Monday.

Willy left the Bombers’ 52-26 loss to the Tiger-Cats after being hit in the head on a sack in the first quarter. Ticats linebacker Taylor Reed wrapped up Willy and spun him around, at which point defensive end Adrian Tracy tackled Willy with their helmets colliding.
