Munz: Pavelec, Vokoun to start as Penguins visit Jets

The (1-1-1) Winnipeg Jets host the (2-1) Pittsburgh Penguins in a 7pm ct face off tonight at MTS Centre.
 
TSN 1290's coverage begins with Hustler & Lawless at 3pm ct live from Boston Pizza City Place. Rick Ralph hosts the official Jets pregame show at 6pm ct. Dennis Beyak, Shane Hnidy and I will have the play-by-play.
 
Ondrej Pavelec will start his fourth consecutive game in goal for the Jets, who are coming off a two-game road trip to Boston and Washington where they earned three of a possible four points.

2011 first-round draft pick Mark Scheifele will be a healthy scratch for the first time this season. Also healthy, but not playing tonight, are forward Anthony Peluso and defenseman Zach Redmond.
 
Zach Bogosian and Antti Miettinen remain on the injured reserve list.
 
Jim Slater is on a two-game point streak (one goal, one assist).

Tomas Vokoun will start his second game of the season for visiting Pittsburgh. His first start Saturday in New York was a 31-save performance in a 6-3 victory over the Rangers.

Evgeni Malkin has at least one point in all three Penguin games this season (one goal, four assists).

Sidney Crosby, who is playing his first NHL game in Winnipeg, and Kris Letang each have one goal and two assists in their last two games.

Tanner Glass returns to MTS Centre after setting career highs in goals (five), assists (11) and points (16) while playing for the Jets last season.

The Penguins have scored five power play goals in their first three games of the season.
