Munz: Pavelec faces Scrivens as Jets visit Leafs

The (14-11-2) Winnipeg Jets open a two-game road trip against the (15-12-1) Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

The Jets are one point behind Carolina for first place in the Southeast Division standings and one point behind Toronto for seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. Carolina plays in Tampa tonight.

Ondrej Pavelec starts his fifth straight game in goal tonight. He is 3-0-1 in the last four.
 
Alexander Burmistrov and Paul Postma were the last two players on the ice at this morning's pregame skate, so expect them not to play again tonight.
 
Nik Antropov is on a four-game point streak (two goals, four assists). He has scored in back-to-back games.
 
Dustin Byfuglien (five assists), Blake Wheeler (two goals, one assist), Kyle Wellwood (one goal, two assists) and Andrew Ladd (one goal, one assist) are all on two-game point streaks.

Ben Scrivens is starting his second straight game in goal. He made 25 saves Thursday in a 3-1 loss to Pittsburgh.

Joffrey Lupul returns to action after missing the last 25 games due to injury.

Phil Kessel is on a three-game point streak (three goals, three assists).

The Jets have outscored the Leafs 7-5 in their season series, but have a 1-1 record. Antropov leads the Jets with one goal and two assists. Byfuglien and Little each have three assists. Wheeler has two goals. 
 
Kessel has three goals this year to lead Toronto against Winnipeg.
 
Following tonight's game, the Jets fly to Ottawa for a 4pm ct faceoff against the Senators (TSN 1290, TSN Jets). Ottawa plays in Buffalo this afternoon.
