Winnipeg Jets 4, Philadelphia Flyers 1 - Saturday's win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Jets and a four-game winning streak for the Flyers.  It also brought the Jets back to .500 at home and .500 overall on the season. The win also got the Jets off on the right foot, as they start a six game home stand.

All the scoring for the Jets came in a 6:28 stretch in the second period, as the Jets got to the four-goal mark for only the second time in the last 12 games. The Jets started well but a goal by Ruslan Fedotenko midway through the first seemed to put the Jets on their heels and the Flyers on their toes, as the first period shots on goal were 13-4 in favour of the Flyers. Jets had some great chances early but continue to be one of the NHL leaders in missed shots. Evander Kane had two misses and just before the Flyers scored, Andrew Ladd shot high on a breakaway.

After killing a second period penalty to Kane, the Jets found the offense. Grant Clitsome on a nice feed from Bryan Little snapped one past Ilya Bryzgalov to tie the game, and 27 seconds later the Jets had the lead as Kyle Wellwood picked the top corner off a scramble.  The Jets scored their third 1:39 later as Kane found the top part of the net off a scramble, giving the Jets three in 2:06.  Mike Santorelli picked up his first point as a Jet with an assist. Before the period was out, Little rounded out the scoring, chasing Bryzgalov out of the net as Steve Mason started the third. Jets outshot the Flyers 12-5 in the second.

Jets were solid defensively in the third, stayed away from getting involved in what the Flyers tried to start, respecting the league's second-best power play and came away with a much needed two points. Kane finished the game with seven shots on goal, with another two blocked and three shot wide. He also had an assist on the Wellwood goal.   Blake Wheeler chipped in with two assists; his first points in seven games.

The Jets will meet the Buffalo Sabres at the MTS Centre Tuesday and the Florida Panthers on Thursday (TSN Jets, TSN 1290).

"We played hard," stated coach Claude Noel following the game. "We had a good start, gave up the first goal and then didn't manage the puck very well for the rest of the period. But we stayed focussed, our team game was way better, and Pavelec was solid with some key saves at Key times. We'll need to see more of these types of performances from our team. We've made it difficult on ourselves but have some positives to work off of."
