Munz: Jets ready for home opener against Kings

It's been 162 days since the Winnipeg Jets played a meaningful game inside MTS Centre, and now following Tuesday's 5-4 win in Edmonton, the Jets return home to play the Los Angeles Kings.

Paul Edmonds will join me on TSN 1290 for the radio broadcast, while Dennis Beyak, Shane Hnidy and Sara Orlesky will have the game on TSN Jets.  Face off is set for 7:15 due to opening night festivities.

Ondrej Pavelec will start his 2nd straight game in goal after making 34 saves against the Oilers.

Defenseman Grant Clitsome is the lone Jet on the Injured Reserve List.

The Kings are coming off a 3-2 shoot out win in St. Paul, Minnesota last night.  Jeff Carter tied the game in the 3rd period and also scored the shoot out winner. 
Jonathan Quick will start in goal after making 27 saves.

Head Coach Darryl Sutter confirmed this morning he will dress the same players as last night.

The last and only time the Kings previously played against the Jets was December 27, 2011 here at MTS Centre when Evander Kane scored the overtime winner in a 1-0 win.  The Kings return to Winnipeg March 6th, while the Jets close out the 3 game regular season series March 29th in Los Angeles.

Following tonight's game, the Jets host Teemu Selanne and the Anaheim Ducks Sunday night, 7:00 at MTS Centre (TSN 1290, TSN Jets).
