Munz: Pavelec faces Howard as Jets visit Red Wings

The Winnipeg Jets look to extend their winning streak to a season-high three games tonight as they visit the Detroit Red Wings.
 
The (8-9-2) Jets are seventh in the Central Division with 18 points. Fifth-place Nashville and sixth-place Dallas also have 18 points, however both teams have played two less games than Winnipeg.
 
Tonight is the second and final game between these teams this season. Winnipeg were 4-2 winners on home ice eight days ago.
 
Ondrej Pavelec (6-7-2, 2.92, .909, 1 shutout) will start in goal.

The (9-5-4) Red Wings are fourth in the Atlantic Division with 22 points. Third-place Toronto also has 22 points, but have played one fewer game. Detroit trails second-place Boston by one point and are two back of first-place Tampa Bay.
