Munz: Jets look to get back on track vs. struggling Rangers

The Winnipeg Jets and New York Rangers conclude a two game regular season series with a 7pm ct face off at MTS Centre.

The Jets were 5-2 winners at Madison Square Garden December 2 on a night where Olli Jokinen scored two goals.

The (30-28-9) Jets are five points behind Dallas for a Western Conference Wild Card playoff spot.  Phoenix is one point back of the Stars and three ahead of Vancouver.

Ondrej Pavelec is expected to start in goal.

Tonight is Jets Captain Andrew Ladd's 600th NHL game.

Bryan Little is on a three game point streak (one goal and three assists).

New York has lost their last two games, including last night in Minnesota by a 2-1 score.  When hosting a team who is playing their second game in as many nights, the Jets record is 3-3.

The (35-28-4) Rangers are third in the Metropolitan Division with 74 points.  Second place Columbus also has 74 points, and have a game in hand on New York

New York did not have a pregame skate this morning at MTS Centre.

Henrik Lundqvist is expected to start in goal.

This is the first game for Martin St. Louis in Winnipeg since being traded to the Rangers from Tampa.  During his time with the Lightning, St. Louis had 82 points (27 goals and 55 assists) in 74 games against the Winnipeg / Atlanta franchise.
