The Winnipeg Jets look for their second win in as many nights, as following a 7-2 decision at home over Dallas, they are in St. Louis to face the Blues.
The (31-29-9) Jets have 71 points and trail the Stars by four points for a Western Conference Wild Card playoff spot. Dallas has two games in hand on Winnipeg. The Jets also trail Phoenix by four points and are one back of Vancouver.
Due to arriving in St. Louis at 2am ct, the Jets did not have a pregame skate this morning. Backup goaltender Michael Hutchinson and defenseman Paul Postma were the only players that went to the rink this morning.
Al Montoya will start in goal. He made 25 saves last night improving his record to 11-5-3.
Dustin Byfuglien has scored three goals in his last two games.
St. Louis is coming off a 4-1 win in Nashville Saturday that extended their undefeated streak in regulation to eight games (7-0-1).
The (46-14-7) Blues have 99 points to lead the Western Conference standings. A win tonight would make them the first team this season to pass the 100 point mark. They are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games.
Ryan Miller will start in goal. He is 6-0-1 since the trade from Buffalo with a 1.70 goals against average and .932 save percentage.
Head Coach Ken Hitchcock said this morning T.J. Oshie will make the decision himself tonight if he will play. Oshie and his fiancée are expecting their first child as early as today.

This is the fifth and final meeting of the regular season between these teams. Alexander Steen has scored four goals in leading St. Louis to a 3-0-1 record. Andrew Ladd and Blake Wheeler each have one goal and three assists against the Blues.
