TORONTO -- Hugh Charles, Bryant Turner, Jock Sanders and Andrew Harris were named the Gibson's Finest CFL Players of the Week for Week 2 on Tuesday.
Charles earned offensive player of the week honours after rushing for 119 yards on 11 carries, including a 70-yard run for a touchdown in the Edmonton Eskimos' win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Charles also caught three passes for 27 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown.
Turner walks away with defensive honours for his strong showing in the Winnipeg Blue Bombers win over the MontrealAlouettes. Turner was a force for the Blue Bombers defence with five total tackles including three sacks, and forced a fumble in the Bombers' win.
The Bombers defence held Alouettes quarterback Anthony Calvillo to just 121 passing yards in the game.
Sanders, the Sasatchewan Roughriders return specialist, had four kickoff returns for 100 yards and six punt returns for 74 yards en-route to being named Special Teams Player of the Week.
Harris was named top Canadian after an impressive performance in the BC Lions' win over the Toronto Argonauts. Harris had 15 carries for 103 yards and scored a touchdown in the Lions' 24-16 victory. The Winnipeg nativve also had six catches for 49 yards.
