RUHPOLDING, Germany -- Martin Fourcade of France won his second gold in two days at the biathlon world championships when he led from start to finish to win the pursuit race Sunday and add to his sprint title.

Fourcade overcame four missed targets on the shooting range to beat Carl Johan Bergman of Sweden by 5.2 seconds on the 12.5-kilometre course. Anton Shipulin of Russia took the bronze, coming in 22.1 seconds behind.

Bergman, bronze medallist in the sprint, had two penalty laps and Shipulin one.

Darya Domracheva of Belarus had a steadier hand and beat home favourite Magdalena Neuner in the women's pursuit, one day after conceding the sprint to the German.
