OTTAWA -- Speed Skating Canada announced Tuesday that John-Paul Cody-Cox has stepped down as chief executive officer.
The Halifax native joined the organization in October 2010. His resignation is effective immediately.
"JP has done great work since joining us. The board of directors and I thank him for his dedication and integrity," Speed Skating Canada president Marie-Claire Rouleau said in a statement.
"We were at a crossroads -- the board had a different vision of the operations and governance for SSC. We have mutually agreed to part ways. We wish JP well in his future endeavours."
The board of directors will undertake a search for a replacement.
Cody-Cox previously served as the executive director of Volleyball Canada.
