Team Canada downs Russia at World Junior Development Camp

Team Canada got goals from five different players in a 5-2 win over Russia on Wednesday at the World Junior Development Camp in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

Robby Fabbri, Nick Ritchie, Bo Horvat, Zach Nastasiuk and Madison Bowey found the back of the net for Canada while Rinat Valiev and Alexander Sharov replied for Russia.

Philippe Desrosiers stopped all 10 shots he faced during his stint in the Canadian goal while Eric Comrie gave up two goals on 13 shots in the final 30 minutes.

After a scoreless opening period, Team Canada scored four times in the second frame to open up a 4-1 lead.

The teams traded goals in the third period to give Canada the 5-2 victory.
