Yahoo announced Friday that its esports division and event organizers ESL are partnering on a two-year content deal that will include the broadcasting of events, tournament development, coverage and distribution.

“Our Yahoo Esports team is extremely excited to be partnering with ESL to bring greater coverage of its leading esports events, as well as innovate in new competitive formats and content offerings that we are sure will excite both fans and advertisers alike,” VP of Yahoo Video and ESports Zachary John said in a release. “Yahoo’s unique storytelling, highly talented editorial staff and global scale are a great combination with ESL’s experience and leadership in the space.”

Yahoo Esports will provide full coverage of the ESL majors, including ESL One and IEM series, as well as live stream the events across its properties. The partnership is also offering “New exciting integrated sponsorship opportunities for advertisers.”

The esports division of Yahoo was launched online in March and now has an app on both iOS and Android devices.
