Shawn Lemon is on the move again.

The Toronto Argonauts traded the defensive end early Tuesday to the BC Lions in exchange for a negotiation list player.

Lemon, who was acquired by the Argonauts from the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2016, is set to play for his sixth team in eight seasons.

The 29-year-old was off to a quiet start this season with the Argos, posting five tackles and one sack through five games. He had 18 tackles and eight sacks in 12 games last season.

“Shawn is one of the premier pass rushers in the CFL and he will be a great addition to our defensive line.” said Lions general manager Ed Hervey. “Winning the battle at the line of scrimmage is critical to our success and acquiring Shawn at this point in the season gives us a lot of options moving forward."

A veteran of 80 career CFL contests, Lemon has 116 tackles and 51 sacks over his career with 19 forced fumbles.

The Lions, who are on bye this week, sit last in the West Division with a 2-3 record this season.
